The Kemp Townhouse is Brighton's only officially rated Five Star Guest House. Located in a Grade II listed building on a quiet street in the heart of Brighton, we offer the highest quality comfort, style and above all personal service that you deserve. First opened in 1864 as ‘Mary Pearson’s hotel & Guesthouse’, the nine bedrooms have provided respite to travellers for nearly 150 years.  Back then, a comfortable room in Brighton cost less than 10 shillings. Although our prices have increased since then, we continue to offer excellent value to all of our guests who are looking for the boutique experience.

The Kemp Townhouse has been listed in Conde Nast Traveler, Alistair Sawday's, The Michelin Guide for hotels, Chic Retreats, The Guardian, Elle UK, The Independent, The Telegraph, Time Out, The Style Bible, I-Escape to name but a few.
